The Law envisages defining of the legal and organizational basis for the unanimous system of formation and realization of the prior directions of Ukrainian science and techniques development.
In particular it is declares that the prior directions of the scientific-technical development for the long-termed period (over 10 years), that are being formed and implemented in the interest of the formation of competitive national sphere of scientific researches and provision of national safety and competitive ability of the national economy.
The prior directions of the science and technical development for the period till the year 2007, pursuant to the bill are: fundamental scientific researches of the world level; applied scientific researches and scientific-technical research work, informational and material-technical assistance to the scientific and scientific-technical researches.
